Affordable Drug Store Makeup Products for Oily/Acne Prone Skin
“Everyday Makeup Look” Using Affordable Drugstore Products
For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with oily, acne prone skin. As I’ve worked my way into my mid to late twenties and discovered the cause of my breakouts (eating gluten), my acne has calmed down. However, I’m still left with an oily complexion and uneven skin tone.
I’ve learned to feel more confident in my imperfect skin, but I still enjoy wearing makeup because I personally like the way I look and feel when wearing it. I like to keep it as simple and natural as possible.
I have an “everyday makeup look” that I’ve mastered for days I’m going to work, headed to church, or running errands on the weekends. It’s taken me years of trial and error to find the best products for my skin type that are affordable and work well. I’m pleased to share my favorite affordable drug store makeup products with you because I really think you’ll like them as much as I do.
Drugstore Dupes for Higher End Makeup Products
All of the products I’m sharing below can be purchased from the drugstore, and most of them are dupes for higher end products you could purchase at Sephora, Ulta, or other similar stores. I do own higher end makeup products, but they are not a part of my everyday look. I’m confident that you can complete a beautiful makeup look without spending much money.
Here’s the list of products I use on a daily basis that are dupes of higher end products
Maybelline Master Prime (blur+redness control) (~$8)
Revlon Color Stay 24 Hour Wear (~ $8)
Loreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer (~ $10)
e.l.f. Blush and Bronzer Duo in Fiji (matte) (~ $4)
COVERGIRL Easy Breezy Brow Draw and Fill Brow Tool (~$12)
Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara (~$10)
. If you’re looking to try out new makeup that is affordable, looks beautiful on the skin, and lasts all day, I really think you’ll love these products. Comment down below and let me know which ones you want to try, or let me know if you have a favorite drugstore makeup product you’d like to share.

Saving Money Resources I Use Often:
In-Store Shopping:
Fetch Rewards: Scan any receipt (groceries, gas, restaurants, and more) to earn points towards cash back in the form of gift cards. I always cash out for Amazon. I use Fetch rewards in addition to Ibotta because Ibotta usually gives me more money back but takes longer to use. With Fetch, all I have to do is take a picture of the receipt and i instantly get points. EARN 2,000 POINTS FREE WHEN YOU SIGN UP USING MY CODE – 6VQ1A
Ibotta: With Ibotta, earn cash back on items you’ve purchased at the store by adding them in the app and taking a picture of the receipt to redeem your money back. I like to check the app before going shopping to see what high-paying cash back items are available. GET $10 ON ME IF YOU JOIN USING MY CODE – icnaysv
Online Shopping:
HONEY: I use honey to get cash back when I’m online shopping and to inform me of price changes on online items. I downloaded the honey browser extension to my computer so when I’m online shopping, I will automatically receive cash back for qualifying items. No research or logging into the Honey website is required. It saves me tons of money with zero effort. Honey also tells me if an item is a good deal or not. It will show me the item’s price over the past several months so I can see if it’s a good time to buy or if the item’s price is jacked up. RAKUTEN: I also use Rakuten in addition to Honey because they also offer cash back for many stores. I use both because Honey shows me price changes while Rakuten does not, but Rakuten offers cash back on 3,000+ stores so if Honey isn’t offering cash back on a store, there’s a good chance Rakuten is. Rakuten also offers a free browser extension so you can automatically earn cash back without having to do anything. Just make sure the browser extension is downloaded to your favorite online browser and start earning cash back when you shop online. Secondhand Shopping/Selling:
Poshmark: Buy new and used clothing for discounted prices and sell your own new or gently used items from your closet and earn money quickly. Poshmark also allows you to buy/sell home decor, shoes, baby toys, makeup/beauty products, and more. GET $10 FREE WHEN YOU SIGN UP WITH POSHMARK USING My CODE “MEREDITHANNE26”
MERCARI: Mercari is another buy/sell app I use to buy and sell new or gently used clothing, shoes, and items. I love that I can use both Mercari and Poshmark to buy secondhand items because it raises my odds of finding what I want to purchase. GET $10 OFF YOUR FIRST PURCHASE AND EARN AN EXTRA $20 IF YOU SELL $100 WORTH OF ITEMS ON MERCARI. SIGN UP USING MY LINK TO EARN THESE BONUSES – https://merc.li/T8EzH2b
