6 Cash Back Apps and Sites That Pay You To Shop
Who here wants to get paid to shop? If you said yes, you’re in the right place because today I’m going to share with you my 6 FAVORITE and most used apps and online websites to earn cash back every single time I shop.
I’ve been using some of these sites since 2015 and still use them today.
Every single one of these sites and apps will maximize your savings by giving you cash back. I know you’re going to love them just as much as me, so let’s dive in.

Honey
In a nutshell: Honey is very similar to BeFrugal in the sense that you get paid to shop online. Simply create an account, add the browser button feature to your desktop, and you’re golden! Any time you stumble upon a website that Honey gives you cash back for, click the pop-up cash back button and the percentage of cash back will be automatically given to you in your Honey account after your purchase.

Ebates
Ebates is 100% worth using if you like to get paid to shop. Here’s a screenshot of the cash back I’ve received since September 2017 from using Ebates. That’s a LOT of money just for shopping online! 
In a nutshell: Ebates (now known as Rakuten) is very similar to BeFrugal in the way that it pays you to shop online. With Ebates, you can download the browser cash back button so when you go to a website to online shop, you can click the green cash back button that will pop up automatically and you’ll receive your cash back when you make a purchase. Example: I went to macys.com and this is what popped up:

Payment threshold: $5.01, but they pay you at the end of each “cycle” which is every 3 months. It’s kind of nice because you can accumulate more money to be cashed out at the end of each cycle which feels like a bonus “paycheck”. Don’t miss out on your $10 bonus!
Be Frugal
In a nutshell: BeFrugal is an online website that gives you cash back for making purchases online. They also give coupons and deals for over 50,000 stores to ensure you’re getting the most bang for your buck for all of your online shopping. To earn cash back, you must be logged into BeFrugal.com. Find the store you’d like to shop at and click the “shop now” button to be taken to the website and activate cash back. Once you make a purchase, you’ll receive your cash back into your account within 7 days.
Cost: FREE. Plus you get a $10 bonus for signing up when you make your first purchase online at any qualifying store.

In a nutshell: Ibotta is the easier way to save money instead of clipping coupons in your PJ’s on a Saturday morning. Ibotta is an awesome cash back app that you can use on your smart phone to earn cash back rewards simply for shopping. Simply find items you’d like to buy, click the plus sign to add to offers, shop, purchase, and scan your receipt!

Drop
In a nutshell: Download the Drop app to your iOS or Android phone and connect your credit or debit card. When you shop at a connected retailer, you will automatically earn points back. Select two stores on the app for “power offers” where you’ll maximize your cash back for those stores.

Number of stores available for cash back: Doesn’t specify, but advertises that you’ll earn cash back on top retailers. From what I’ve seen when using the app, I can testify that it’s the truth.

Shopkick
I personally love to use Shopkick to earn free AMC movie theater tickets! I’ve been using the app on and off since 2015. I don’t work hard at earning points but when I do remember to scan something here and there it all adds up. I’ve been to an AMC movie 5 times now for free because of Shopkick.
In a nutshell: Step 1: Download the Shopkick app to your phone. Step 2: Receive kicks for walking into a store (yes that’s right, you get paid JUST to walk into a store), scan items at the store (yup, you can earn without buying anything!), and scan receipts for the maximum number of “kicks” aka points. Once you reach a minimum of 2,500 “kicks”, you’ll be able to cash out for a $10 gift card of your choice. The more kicks you earn, the higher amount you’ll receive on your gift card.

Number of stores available for cash back: The app doesn’t specify how many stores are available, but it does say there are over 250,000 retail locations offering kicks for walking in and scanning. In the app, it will tell you stores near you offering kicks.
